Marika was appointed as a Board member of the Ontario Energy Board on April 30, 2010. She previously held staff positions (2006 to 2010) at the Ontario Energy Board, including Managing Director, Applications and Regulatory Audit and Managing Director, Regulatory Policy. She has had a long career in the energy industry, both in the private and public sectors. Ms. Hare held a number of positions during 15 years at Enbridge Gas Distribution, including: Regional General Manager Central Region Operations; Director Regulatory Affairs; Director Business Development; Director Strategic Planning; and Director Environmental Affairs. Prior to Enbridge, Ms. Hare worked with TransCanada Pipelines, where she held increasingly responsible positions in the environmental and right-of-way areas. Ms. Hare holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University. She is proud to have served on the Board of MicroSkills since 2005.
