What is this program?
- A FREE Full-Time Training in food reparation, menu planning, etc.
- May lead to an apprentice position or second year in college culinary program or employment
- Training includes classroom instruction, hands-on practice in
the food lab, work preparation seminars
- Includes a work placement in the 2nd half of the training
When is it?
- Full-time training starts March 15, 2010, and continues to
November 19, 2010
- Delivered Monday to Friday

- Delivered at Humber College Institute of Technology
and Advanced Learning, in the School of Hospitality,
Recreation & Tourism
- The paid work placement will be at an employer’s site
Who delivers?
- Humber College delivers the technical instruction
- MicroSkills delivers the work preparation seminars
Can I be in this program?
If you are a youth who:
- Is between 18 and 24 years of age;
- Has grade 12 diploma or equivalent; and
- Is out of school and ready for full-time training
(Note: Grade 12 English required and Grade 12 Math recommended, or equivalent)
