The Youth and Police Program (YAPP) brings together a group of youth aged 13-16 who want to develop positive relationships between youth and law enforcement officers in north Etobicoke. In partnership with local police officers at Toronto 23 Division, they work towards building a better understanding of the perceptions, issues and attitudes that both groups have of each other.

This program provides:

1. Physical activities to encourage team building and build confidence;
2. Education sessions introducing the law
3. Conversation circles for youth to express their views about law enforcement;
4. Peer mentorship;
5. A youth-led town hall meeting and
6. Field trips to expose participants to law enforcement environments.
